Javi Gómez Noya and Lucy Charles win in the 5th edition of Polar Cannes International Triathlon

Noya (4:27:12) won clearly with an advantage of more than 10 minutes over Kevin Maurel (4:39:32)

Fantastic victory of Gómez Noya in the 5th edition of Polar Cannes International Triathlon. The spanish triathlete, who was he great favorite, dominated the race from start to finish and crossed the finish line with a time of 4:27:12.

Noya add a new victory in middle distance with an advantage of more than 10 minutes over the french Kevin Maurel, second classified, who completed the race in 4:39:32. Third place for the german Malte Plapper with a time of 4:40:24.

Lucy Charles, first woman in Cannes

In the women’s category, worked triumph for the triathlete Lucy Charles. The english adds a new title to her brilliant results with a final time of 5:14:06. Charles asserted his little advantage over the french Johanna Daumas Carrier (5:16:56), who was second. The podium was completed by the french Marion Gay-Pageon (5:24:14).

Nice day of triathlon

1,300 athletes from all over the world have enjoyed the triathlete on the idyllic French Riviera. Good atmosphere, careful services, demanding circuits and beautiful landscapes have marked a day where participants have completed 2 km of swimming, 107 km of cycling and 16 km of running.
