Germany’s Michael Raelert, a 2-time Ironman 70.3 World Champion, spent some time in Phuket earlier this year for a training camp at Thanyapura, the world class sports facility on the island with fellow Germans Andi Dreitz the uber cyclist and David Breuer.
Michael has been training and staying at Thanyapura since Feb 1st (7 weeks) and just extended again as in his own words he’s “getting the best base training and quality early season work done than he’s ever had in his career.” There’s no sign of the injury problems which have previously plagued him, and he’s able to consistently get big mileage done with quality training partners who help him keep it real day in, day out.
