How to follow the Ironman World Championships this weekend

On Saturday, the 10th, world’s most important triathlon takes place, the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. All eyes of the Triathlon world will be directed to the Big Island, where the best long distance athletes in the world, amateurs and professionals compete for the world title.

The first gun goes off at 6:25 am local Hawaiian time for professional men. Then, at 6:30am its time for the ladies to get their days started, followed by the age group man at 6.50am and the female age groupers at 07:00am –

TIME ZONE ALERT! For the spectators based in Asia this means:

Pro Men Start, 06.25am Hawaii Time = 00:25am Sunday Singapore-HK-Manilla-KL Time

Ironman Hawaii starts at 6.25am local time, which means just past midnight to most Asian countries

The whole event can be followed live from www.ironmanlive.com including timing times for all athletes. The official hashtags are used in social networks and # imwc2015 #kona2015.

Remember that the first placed should cross the line with around 8 hours of race time and the first professional female at around the 8h50 mark.
