Da Nang, Vietnam – May 11th, 2025. The picturesque coastline of Da Nang once again welcomed a world-class display of endurance as more than 3,500 athletes from over 70 countries and territories and 6 continents gathered for the 2025 IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang – presented by Minh Long – marking a decade of IRONMAN in Vietnam. Notably, this year’s event witnessed a record-breaking participation of nearly 1,400 Vietnamese athletes in the 70.3 distance, the highest number in the ten-year history of IRONMAN in the country – underscoring the sport’s surging popularity in Vietnam and the rising capabilities of homegrown talent on the regional stage.

Organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam, under the direction of the People’s Committee of Da Nang City and with strong support from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with other relevant city agencies, the three-day multi-sport, multi-generational festival reflected the city’s continued commitment to sports tourism and to embracing international standards for their events.

With calm waters, cloudy skies, and gentle breezes, athletes enjoyed one of the most favorable race-day environments in the event’s 10-year history—contributing to a surge of personal bests and reinforcing Da Nang’s growing reputation as one of South East Asia’s most performance-friendly IRONMAN courses.
