Javier Gomez, Emma Pallant win 2019 Ironman 70.3 Portugal

The third edition of IRONM 70.3 Portugal was a huge success with a record with 3,000 athletes starting the race and  Emma Pallant (GBR) and Javier Gomez (ESP) dominating the pro race.

Gomez came out of the water first and didn’t give up the leading position all day. He crushed the bike and flew away on the run course to take the win in a 3:51:11 finishing time.

Anna-Lena Pohl (DEU) was first out of the water but with Emma Pallant (GBR) at her heels. Pallant rode a solid bike split and a blistering run split take the victory clocking a 4:18:21 race time.
