Spain’s Javier Gomez, Brazilian Baptista Win Titles at 2022 Ironman 70.3 Pucon

The 2022 triathlon racing season is officially underway at Ironman 70.3 Pucon.
Spain’s Javier Gomez, the 10-time world champion, used the strength of his race-best 1:10:04 run to win the title in 3;50:54.
Gomez described the event as one of the most beautiful race in the world while acknowledging the brutal run course.
In the women’s race, Brazil’s Luisa Baptista prevented another Chilean victory in the race, winning in 4:17:12. Home country favorite Barbara Riveros has previously won from 2015 to 2019.
