Independent Arbitrator Imposes Sanction on Andrew Starykowicz Following Violation of IRONMAN Anti-Doping Rules

Ironman has announced via press release that American professional triathlete Andrew Starykowicz has committed an anti-doping rule violation for the use of Vilanterol. The decision rendered by an independent arbitrator means Starykowicz will ineligible to complete until January 1, 2021. The period of suspension commenced on December 5, 2019.
In his defense, Starykowicz has posted this tweet linking to his website where you can find his blog about the recent sanction:
