Pieter Heemeryck and Radka Kahlefeldt claim victory at the sixth edition of CHALLENGEPEGUERA-MALLORCA 2019

Pieter Heemeryck (BEL) and Radka Kahlefeldt (CZE) claimed victory at the sixth edition of CHALLENGEPEGUERA-MALLORCA 2019.

The race kicked off on Saturday, October 19 at 9 am at Torà Beach in Peguera. Having completed a 1.9km swim, athletes left the transition zone to start a 90km bike course with 950m of positive climbing, and finished the race with a half marathon run (21,1km).

Typical for Peguera, weather conditions were perfect as sunshine welcomed athletes to the start line and accompanied them throughout the race.

MEN

Pieter Heemeryck took the win in 03:49:57 after an incredible performance, beating Austrian Thomas Steger (03:54:13) and Ruedi Wild from Switzerland (03:56:09), who was third to cross the line.

WOMEN

Radka Kahlefeldt (CZE) claimed victory in the women’s race. She finished in 04:21:42 with a huge lead on the chasing pack, Jeanne Collonge from France (04:27:34) and Austrian Lisa Hütthaler (04:28:59).
