Tri-Factor Launches New Popular Multisport Formats at 11th Edition of Compressport Tri-Factor Run Singapore
June 16, 2019 – 11th Edition of the Compressport TRI-Factor Run saw an increase of newbies taking on the new RunSwim categories where participants will run, swim and finish up with a run segment.
Irish Colin O’shea top of the inaugural Long RunSwim (10.25km Run-1.5km Swim-10.5km Run) with a time of 1 hours 52minutes and 34 seconds ahead of second and third place Foo Gen Lin and Joshua Li who finished with a time of 1 hours 56 minutes and 40 seconds and 2 hours 6 minutes and 12 seconds respectively
Singapore-based American Joanna McFarland took the women open Long RunSwim crown with a time of 2 hours 24minutes and 1 seconds more than 20 minutes head of the second and third place Chloe Tarbet and Lesley Lang.
Team Club Breakaway that comprises of Singapore National Triathletes Bryce Chong and Cedic Chua took the Club Challenge finishing together with a combined timing of 4 hours 20 minutes and 30 seconds.
Race Director of TRI-Factor Series and General Manager of Orange Room, Joseph Tan said: “We are surprised with the number of new participants taking part in the new formats in our 11th edition of the TRI-Factor Run event in Singapore. The popular RunSwim Challenge category attracted more than 50 first time multisport athletes took part in the freshmen category. TRI-Factor regional movement will continue to innovate new formats to get more into swim,bike and/or run.
