Australia’s Betten seeks 3rd straight Bohol 5150 title

Aussie Sam Betten seeks to extend his reigns as men’s e;ite champion as he return to the beautiful island of Panglao, Bohol for the Bellevue Resort 5i50 Triathlon on Nov. 5 at the Bellevue Resort.

The towering Betten will be gunning for his 3rd straight 5150 title in Bohol.  Betten has won a three-peat via 5150 Subic Bay, where he had won since 2015.  He will be heavily challenged by fellow Aussie Tim Reed, the reigning Ironman 70.3 Philippines champion.   Joining the hunt are Philippine-based Aussie pro Dan Brown and Rwanda’s Gabe Manner.

In the women’s race, 2015 champion Dimity Lee Duke (AUS) will look to regain her title in the 1.5K swim, 40K bike, and 10K run race that puts competitors in a challenging course set in the middle of paradise in Panglao Island of Bohol.  Completing the women’s pro field are Kerry Morris (AUS) and American Laurel Wassner.

SEI has partnered with Bellevue Resort, a world-class resort on the coastline of Panglao, in staging the season-ending event, which expects over 600 participants, including athletes from the Sunrise Sprint.
