Trending: The Case for Wider Tires

With the advent of disc-brake enabled road and triathlon bikes comes the opportunity to use wider tires, without any v-brake calipers to hinder the use of such tires.

For many years, 23mm wide road tires were the default choice among enthusiasts and professionals alike, believing that narrower tires were simple the faster option.   Recent developments though have proved that wider tires, with the 25mm size, has become the most obvious choice.  Some have also gone wider, with the 28mm size the next viable option, espceially for disc brake-enabled bikes.
