Gallery: Tigasin Triathlon- Pangasinan, Philippines

Lingayen, Pangasinan: On its third year, Tigasin Triathlon, ang Tagisan ng mga Tigasin by Northern Cement Corporation came to a remarkable close last May 14, 2017. The 2-day multisport series opened with the Open Water Swim last May 13, with Nicole Danielle Eijansantos and Juan Carlos Abad of Team Unilab as the overall champions in the standard distance categories, who took home cash prizes and funky swim apparel from Neptune Actives.   This year’s Tigasin Triathlon became an instant must-race event for triathletes both newbies and professionals because of the new venue, and the addition of the Open Water Swim all added up to the province’s advocacy promoting awareness in protecting the seas and marine resources.  More than 250 participants joined the Sprint and Standard categories, with prominent names leading the pack such as SEAGAMES gold medalist Nikko Huelgas and elite female triathlete and Tigasin Triathlon veteran Monica Torres.
