Best Photos: Final day – Super League Triathlon

The final day of the 3 day series started with Alistair Brownlee withdrawing from the even due to a virus, all the other 23 athletes toed the line for the first stage of 300m swim / 6km bike / 2km run. The first 15 across the line qualified for stage 2 which had the same distances, and the top 10 athletes qualified for stage 3, also with the same distances.

Stage winner was Australian Jake Birtwhistle, followed by Mario Mola and Richard Murray. In the overall rankings, Richard Murray (RSA) took home the title of the inaugural Super League Triathlon and a prize of one hundred thousand dollars. Spain’s Mario Mola was 2nd followed by Jake Birtwhistle
