World Champions and Olympians confirmed at Bangsaen Triathlon this Sunday

Bangsaen Triathlon opens the 2016 season for the Thailand Tri-League this Sunday the 21st. With a prize purse of 15.000USD (485.000THB), the event is now sold out with over 1.200 athletes including a world class field of former world champions and olympians.

Ruedi Wild (SUI) a 2x Olympian, leads the men’s field and he will be challenged by 2015 Pattaya and Ironman 70.3 Japan Mitch Robins (AUS), Fredrik Croneborg (SWE) and former World Duathlon Champion Paul Amey (NZL). Two-time Ironman World Champion Chris McCormack (AUS) will be racing the sprint distance event.

The women’s pre-race favorite is Dimity-Lee Duke (AUS), who won Pattaya and Bangkok Tri-League events in 2015, the other strong female athletes are Monica Torres (PHI) and Renee Baker (AUS).
