Team Profile

Background

Our team was initiated in 2012 as a country team of TeamTBB with the title sponsor: The Alaska Milk Corporation. We had 6 Filipino Elite Development athletes, and 4 foreign Pros including myself.
In 2014 we became our own entity & renamed Alaska Tri Aspire, owned and primarily supported by The Alaska Milk Corp. and with the help of local sponsors. We are proud to have Triathlon world champions Pete Jacob & Caroline Steffen in our team as Professionals.

Where are you now

We have 6 Filipino Elite athletes (3 males & 3 females) whom I coach and mentor to compete in the local international races with the aspiration to become legitimate pro triathletes!

Some of the athletes are full time athletes, some are part time students and some have part time jobs.

Over the past years, our team athletes have won many Filipino Elite titles & podiums, sometimes edging out national team athletes and slower pro triathletes that travel here for the races!

Going forward

We aim to be more competitive against other elite/pro triathletes in Asia, to be role models for the local community & represent our sponsors with integrity, loyalty & professionalism.

The local international events like X-Terra, the two 5150 events & 70.3 events are our main focus at present as they draw top fields & have good prize money for the local athletes!

For them to also be able represent their country at the Asian Games, Asian Beach games, SEA Games & hopefully the Olympic Games.

Anything else we should know about your team?

Our team owner, CEO of Alaska Milk Corp. & triathlete Fred Uytengsu is also the CEO of Sunrise Events Inc. which is the franchise owner of the Ironman brand in the Philippines, of which organizes some of the best races in Asia.

Our other sponsors are: Scott Bikes, Asics Shoes, Rudy Project Helmets & Sunglasses, Garmin Watches, Gatorade, and F2P sportswear.
